Hong Kong: 29 September 2026 Oneglobal Broking, the international specialty insurance and reinsurance broker, joined industry leaders at the Digital Asset Exchange, an evening of panel discussions on the future of digital assets supported by HKU Business School.
Held on 24 August at HKU iCube, Two Exchange Square, in Central, Hong Kong, the event brought together exchanges, investors, infrastructure providers and media from across the region’s digital asset community.
Onno Sterk, Head of Digital Assets at Oneglobal, took part in Panel Two, “APAC Liquidity, Trading and Prime Brokerage”, moderated by RJ Jacobsen, alongside Trevor Tse of Amber Group and Kevin Lee of BingX. The discussion covered how liquidity, trading and prime brokerage are developing across Asia Pacific, and the part that market infrastructure, security and trust play as institutional participation in digital assets grows.
As digital asset businesses mature, the risks they carry are becoming more complex. Custody, key management, operational resilience and counterparty exposure are now central questions for exchanges, custodians, asset managers and institutional investors, and insurance is an increasingly important part of how these businesses demonstrate security to their clients, partners and regulators.
Onno’s participation comes as Oneglobal builds its digital asset capability in Asia. In September, Oneglobal acquired the digital asset client portfolio of Fraction Brokers and established a dedicated Digital Asset division in Hong Kong, led by Dan Dibden, Chief Commercial Officer, Digital Assets, and Onno Sterk. The division provides risk transfer solutions to digital asset exchanges and custodians, crypto protocols and foundations, digital asset treasuries, asset managers, hedge funds and money service providers.
Oneglobal thanks HKU Business School, organiser Jeremy Chiang and all the speakers and participants for an excellent evening.
