Oneglobal sponsors the XXIII ABGR Electricity Sector Committee Meeting

XXIII ABGR Electricity Sector Committee Meeting 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, sponsored by Oneglobal

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: 8 September 2026 – Oneglobal Broking, the international specialty insurance and reinsurance broker, is a sponsor of the XXIII Encontro do Comitê do Setor Elétrico da ABGR, the twenty-third meeting of the Electricity Sector Committee of the Brazilian Risk Management Association (ABGR), held from 8 to 10 September 2026 at the Prodigy SDU in Rio de Janeiro.

The Committee brings together the risk and insurance leadership of Brazil’s power sector: 31 corporate groups and more than 108 professionals across generation, transmission, distribution, trading and energy businesses. This edition is hosted by Jirau Energia, with Axia Energia and Engie Brasil Energia as co-hosts.

Tatiana Moura, Global Head of Surety and Political Risk at Oneglobal, joins Panel 5 on Wednesday 9 September at 15:00 to discuss new guarantee instruments to support project finance in the electricity sector. The panel is moderated by Haroldo Araujo, Risk Manager at CEMIG.

Brazil’s energy transition is committing capital faster than traditional guarantee structures were designed to handle. Surety and political risk solutions allow sponsors, lenders and contractors to release collateral, protect construction timetables and keep projects financeable through the auction, licensing and commissioning cycles. Bringing the international market to bear on that question is where a specialty broker earns its place.

“Guarantees are no longer a contractual formality in the power sector. They decide whether a project reaches financial close, and at what cost. Our role is to open the international market to that question on behalf of Brazilian clients.”

Tatiana Moura, Global Head of Surety and Political Risk, Oneglobal

Across three days the programme covers regulatory change at the ONS, climate change and El Niño exposure, cyber and artificial intelligence risk, the new Brazilian Insurance Law and its effect on placement, property and asset valuation, capacity reserve auctions and BESS, and claims practice in power generation.

Our team will be at the Prodigy SDU throughout. If you would like to arrange a meeting, contact us at oneglobalbroking.com.
